બોલિવૂડ માટે ગુરુવાર (બીજી જુલાઈ)ની રાત એક ખરાબ સમાચાર લઈને આવી. કોરિયોગ્રાફર સરોજ ખાનનું કાર્ડિયાક અરેસ્ટને કારણે નિધન થયું હતું. તેઓ છેલ્લાં ઘણાં સમયથી બીમાર હતાં. તેમના નિધન પર બોલિવૂડ સેલેબ્સે શોક પ્રગટ કર્યો હતો. અમિતાભ બચ્ચને ટ્વીટ કરીને કહ્યું હતું કે પ્રાર્થના. હાથ જોડાયેલા છે પરંતુ મન અશાંત છે.
ત્રણ વર્ષની ઉંમરમાં ચાઈલ્ડ આર્ટિસ્ટ બન્યા હતાં
સરોજ ખાને 3 વર્ષની ઉંમરમાં ચાઈલ્ડ આર્ટિસ્ટ તરીકે કામની શરૂઆત કરી હતી. ત્યારબાદ 50ના દાયકામાં બેકગ્રાઉન્ડ ડાન્સર તરીકે કરિયરની શરૂઆત કરી હતી. ત્યારબાદ તેઓ આસિસ્ટન્ટ ડિરેક્ટર બન્યા હતાં. 1974માં ‘ગીતા મેરા નામ’માં સ્વંતત્ર કોરિયોગ્રાફર તરીકે પહેલો બ્રેક મળ્યો હતો. સરોજ ખાને પોતાની કરિયરમાં બે હજારથી વધુ ગીતો કોરિયોગ્રાફ કર્યાં હતાં. આથી જ તેમને ‘મધર ઓફ ડાન્સ’ પણ કહેવામાં આવે છે. સરોજ ખાને વર્ષ 2019માં કરન જોહરની ફિલ્મ ‘કલંક’ના ગીત ‘તબાહ હો ગયે...’ ગીત કોરિયોગ્રાફ કર્યું હતું.
