ઈરફાન ખાન અને રિશી કપૂરના નિધન બાદ સતત ત્રીજે દિવસે ફિલ્મ ઇન્ડસ્ટ્રી માટે ખરાબ સમાચાર છે. શુક્રવારે સવારે ફિલ્મ એન્ડ ટેલિવિઝન પ્રોડ્યુસર્સ ગીલ્ડ ઓફ ઇન્ડિયાના સીઈઓ કુલમિત મક્કડનું હાર્ટ અટેકને કારણે નિધન થયું છે. 60 વર્ષીય કુલમિત લોકડાઉનને કારણે હિમાચલ પ્રદેશના ધર્મશાળામાં ફસાઈ ગયા હતા. તેમના નિધન પર કરણ જોહર, વિદ્યા બાલન, સુભાષ ઘાઈ સહિત ઇન્ડસ્ટ્રીના ઘણા લોકોને તેમને શ્રદ્ધાંજલિ અર્પણ કરી છે.

આ વિશે પ્રોડ્યુસર્સ ગીલ્ડ ઓફ ઇન્ડિયા દ્વારા એક સ્ટેટમેન્ટ રિલીઝ કરવામાં આવ્યું છે કે, આજે અમે અમારી તાકાતનો સ્તંભ ખોઈ દીધો. કુલમિતની જગ્યા કોઈ ન લઇ શકે. તેમની મહેનત, નિષ્ઠા અને કમિટમેન્ટ માત્ર તેમની જ મુશ્કેલ પરિસ્થિતિમાંથી રસ્તો શોધી કાઢવાની અદભુત ક્ષમતા સાથે મેળ ખાતી હતી. આજે આપણે એક એવા વ્યક્તિને ખોઈ દીધા જેણે હંમેશાં વિનમ્ર રહીને અને પડદા પાછળ રહીને ઇન્ડિયન ફિલ્મ અને ટેલિવિઝન ઇન્ડસ્ટ્રીને વિકસાવવામાં મહત્ત્વનો ફાળો આપ્યો છે. આપણા બધાના ગમતા કુલમિત તમે હંમેશાં યાદ રહેશો. તમારી વિરાસત આગળ વધતી રહેશે.
